Senior Project Manager

The Sr. IT Program Manager directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure IT programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. This position develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.

The Sr. IT Program Manager will work with and support the cross-functional review of project requests through an induction process to ensure all project requests support the Executive Leadership Business Strategy, as well as the pillars to support that strategy. The cross-functional review will be comprised of a committee with global members of both business and IT leaders in the organization.


Responsibilities:

• Implements established policies to ensure proper documentation and system requirements, and collection and validation for production deployment.
• Provides a quality focus through project management, requirements documentation/analysis, and testing to deliver successful projects.
• Develops strong relationships with internal clients, IT management, and IT technical staff and peers to define project goals, timelines and identifies and deploys resources to meet target completion dates.
• Acts as liaison between IT team and internal/external clients to meet systems specifications within cost and time efficiencies.
• Oversees the full project management life cycle for highly complex, strategic and business initiatives from proposal through implementation.
• Provides regular analysis and feedback on all phases of projects to project teams, internal management team, and the Leadership Team on the state of various projects.
• Develops comprehensive project plans for overseeing development, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise-wide technology solutions (e.g., Product Roadmaps) in support of business strategies.
• Provides strategic input to the development of program roadmaps and timelines.
• Works with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop procedures for testing system enhancements and system interfaces to ensure functionality and user acceptance.
• Provides a measurable, consistent, and "client-focused" approach to project and release management, with end-to-end accountability.
• Designs and manages procedures and processes for all project management and change requests.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with business and technology partners, and engaging stakeholders across the organization to deliver results
• Manages and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of IT, through improvements to function, as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
• Plays a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.
• Participates in senior level program funding and prioritization of decision processes.
• Ensures that Quality Assurance methods are implemented within the program(s).
• Provides status updates and review of programs to the Leadership Team.
• Provides coaching and mentoring of project team with the goal of developing and retaining talent within the organization.
• Creates a team-oriented work environment that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies.
• Provides oversight in managing team workload, removing barriers in day-to-day tasks.
