Assignment Details
This role is for an IT Professional who will provide expert oversight and administration of the change management process. The IT change manager role interfaces frequently with all facets of the firm to ensure changes transition seamlessly through all phases of change management. The IT change manager will provide expert advice to ensure change management is thorough and as efficient as possible. The IT change manager role will also perform project management for governance related initiatives surrounding the change process, tooling, and transitioning to a DevOps environment. The IT change manager role will ensure evidencing for change approvals, testing and implementations as required by COBIT maturity standards and the ITIL process definition. The position is part of the IT Governance team.
Responsibilities:
- Act as chairperson for weekly Change Advisory Board meetings
- Provide day to day management of the IT change calendar and scheduled changes
- Ensure all change tickets include adequate documentation, evidence and approvals
- Act as administrator for the change management tool (Service Now) and the change management process
- Provide evidence on the effectiveness of IT change controls to auditors and regulators
- Maintain and review the IT change management policies and practice in order to propose enhancements in policy and resolve gaps in practice
- Investigate and report on all IT change management breaches
- Participate and take responsibility for the proper definition and implementation of change management policies and processes within IT operations
- Work with IT line managers at all levels to ensure they are fulfilling their specific change management responsibilities
- Act as the implementation coordinator for complex changes.
- Act as a subject matter expert and help to drive the transition of Change Management practices from ITIL based controls to DevOps CI/CD automation.
Personal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
- COBIT certified assessor or ITIL accreditation
- 4+ years' experience working in IT Change Management, Operations, or Support.
- Experience working in a regulated and/or financial industry
- Proven leadership with ability to lead weekly meetings with diverse teams and staff of all levels
- Demonstrated ability to create clear & concise documentation
- Detail oriented & Deadline focused
- Strong communication skills
Technical Requirements:
- Experience with COBIT and ITIL control frameworks
- Experience with AWS & DevOps Change Automation desired
- Proficient with Service Now and Atlassian Wiki
- Thorough understanding of industry best practices with regards to IT governance and Change Control.
